Chief editor of Military Historical Journal
Colonel Igor Chachukh
Born on 17 August 1962 in the city of Nikolayev (the Nikolayev Region). In 1983 he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Lvov Higher Military Political School.
Was doing his military service as the organising correspondent of the Leningrad Military Districts newspaper Na strazhe Rodiny (Guarding the Homeland) and of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germanys newspaper Sovetskaya Armiya (Soviet Army).
In 1992, he was appointed as the special correspondent and later the political columnist of the weekly edition of the RF Defence Ministry Syn Otechestva (Son of the Fatherland).
From 1994 – the senior editor / member of the editorial board of the RF Defence Ministry Oriyentir (Guideline).
From February 1998 – Deputy Editor-in-Chief of magazine Guideline.
In March 2008, he was appointed the Editor-in-Chief of Military Historical Journal.
